Lease-to-Own Domain Name

Many of our domains are available on a lease-to-own basis: a fixed monthly payment, and once you’ve made the final payment the domain is yours — there’s no separate buyout fee to pay at the end.

E.g. Purchase price £795 + VAT — lease-to-own from just £98 per month + VAT over 9 months, for a total of £882 + VAT to own the domain outright, with nothing further to pay.

Lease-to-own lets you start using the domain to promote your business and generate revenue from day one, while you pay for it. Generating just £98 per month from a new business venture would mean the domain was paying for itself from day one.

If you are starting a new venture and cash is tight, lease-to-own could be the answer — you get full use of the domain straight away and spread the cost over monthly payments, rather than paying the full price upfront.

• Available on domains priced above £195 + VAT
• Minimum monthly payment is £95 + VAT
• Up to 12 months for domains priced up to £2,000 + VAT
• Up to 18 months for domains priced up to £5,000 + VAT
• Up to 24 months for domains priced above £5,000 + VAT
• You can choose a shorter term than the maximum if you’d rather pay it off faster — the monthly amount adjusts accordingly

• Immediate and complete control over the use of the domain name via DNS, usually within 24 hours
• Fixed monthly payments aid cashflow and budgeting
• No upfront deposit is required, helping further with cashflow
• The domain transfers to you automatically once every payment has been made — no separate buyout fee
• No-one else can buy or lease the domain while you are leasing it
• Choose your own term, up to 24 months depending on the domain’s price

• The domain name registrant details will only be updated once your final lease-to-own payment is received
• DNS details may be removed if an agreed monthly payment is not received
• The domain name may not be used for spam, illegal content or activities, or anything contrary to Nominet’s standard terms and conditions of domain name registration and use.
